Quizizz for formative reports

I like to use Quizizz for formative assessments for a few reasons.  First, it's easy to use and quick to set up.  Second, it offers live play and the asynchronous option.  Third, it naturally generates reports for me so I can quickly look a data per question, per student, per class, and per attempt. I like it better than Kahoot because Quizizz puts the question right on the students' devices whereas Kahoot forces them to look up at the board.  I like to turn off the timers and let students take their time and take it as many times as they want.

Students build a website as part of their Code.Org curriculum.  This is the rubric used to grade that project.

Exploratory classes at STEAMM focus on 21st-century success skills.  Here is the rubric we use.  This ensures that we continue to focus on skill sets that are important to master for employability one day.

Distance Learning Assessment

During our distance learning experience, we continue to use data to drive teaching and learning.  Below, you will find a snapshot of my section of the team grade tracker.  This data collected over the first two weeks helped us to decide to change our approach to instruction.  We could see that students were doing well with completing core content classes, but slacked considerably with exploratory class assignments.  Next week, we will try merging explo. class with core contents in an effort to improve our completion ratio.
